Admissions open for B.Ed. /M. Phil. /Ph.D. Programs 2018 

FJWU offers M.Phil. / Ph.D. Program, consistent with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) criteria/requirements. It is a program requiring full time student enrollment for course work. For admission In M.Phil. applicants are required to have: 

• Minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 and 3.1 out of 5 ( in the Semester System) or 1st division (in the Annual System) in Masters / BS 4 years from any HEC recognized university (2nd Div Masters in English is acceptable, as per HEC ruling) 

• Minimum score of 50 in GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) OR Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by Higher Education Commission - Education Testing Council (HEC-ETC) (Prior to admission to all M. Phil Programs except Urdu) 

• NOC from the employer (if applicable). 

• N.B. Preference will be given to the students who have research background. 

• Computer Science (Seats-15)

Sixteen years Education In Computer Science / Software Engineering.

• Mathematical Sciences (Seats-15)

Sixteen years Education In Mathematics.

• Islamic Studies (Seats-15)

Sixteen years Education in Islamic Studies (knowledge of basic Arabic Language) 

• Economies (Seats-20)

Sixteen Years Education In Economics (only)

Education Sixteen Years Education in Education / M. Ed (classes will commence after 2pm) 

• Behavioral Sciences Psychology (Seats-20)

• Urdu (Seats-15)

Sixteen Years Education in Urdu (HAT/OAT General is not required. Applicants will have to appear in subject specific written test only on the day of interview).

Sixteen Years Education In English Language. Literature or Linguistics (HAT/GAT General is required. However, applicants will have to appear in another subject specific written test also on the day of interview) 

• Environmental Sciences (Seats-20)

Sixteen Years Education In Environmental Sciences. Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences.

• Environmental Sciences Chemistry (Seats-20)

Sixteen Yeats Education in Environmental Sciences. Agricultural Sciences. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences 

Note: 

M.Phil. classes in any Degree Program will not be initiated, if the number of enrolled students is less than 5. 

For admission in PhD applicants are required to have: 

• Minimum CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 and 3.75 out of 5.0 (in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M. Phil/M.S/Equivalent from any HEC recognized university. 

• Minimum score of 60 in GAT subject test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS), or ETS, USA in the area of specialization chosen at the PhD level (Prior to admission to the PhD Program) 

• Supervisor's Consent Letter 

• NOC from the employer (if applicable). 

N.B. Preference will be given to the students who have completed MS/M. Phil with Research Thesis.

MS/M. Phil I Equivalent Degree in any field of Psychology from HEC recognized University or M.Sc. in above stated subject from  foreign University.

For admission In B.Ed. applicants are required to have: 

• Minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 and 3.1 out of 5 (in the Semester System) or 45 % marks (in the Annual System) in Masters / BS 4 years from any HEC recognized university (in any academic subject other than education). 

• Minimum score of 50 in GAT General Test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) OR Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by Higher Education Commission - Education Testing Council (HEC-ETC) (Prior to admission to the B.Ed. Program) 

Note:

Classes in B.Ed. Degree Program will not be initiated if the number of enrolled students is less than 10. 

(1) The application forms can be downloaded from the university website www.fjwu.edu.pk and filled form/s can be sent to the Admission Office along with a pay order / bank draft of Rs.1200/- in favor of Fatima Roush Women University, Rawalpindi through post/courier/by hand. 

(2) Last Date for Submission of Application form is July 20, 2018.

(3) All information regarding Interview (conducted for M.Phil. & Ph.D. Programs only) and Merit Lists would be displayed at University Notice Board and FJWU web-site. No Call letters would be sent for interview / admission offer / commencement of classes, etc. 

(4) Selected Candidates Interview List for M.Phil. & Ph.D. Programs would be displayed on August 10, 2018. No. interview is required for B.Ed. Program. 

(5) Selected Candidates' Interview for M. Phil. & Ph.D. Programs would be held on August 16, 2018. At least SO V. marks in interview would be required to be considered for Merit List. 

(6) Candidates awaiting results molt submit the Application Form within the due date. Late Results (if any) sag be submitted separately in Admission Office by August 28, 2018.

(7) Merit List for all Programs (B.Ed.. M.Phil. & Ph.D.) would be displayed on (August 30, 2018. Subsequently)
